Evaluate and analyze documentation, including medical records, witness statements, and other evidence, to accurately assess claim value. Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and provide updates on claim status. Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives, ensuring fair and timely resolution. Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation and take appropriate action. Document all claim activities and decisions in a thorough and organized manner. Collaborate with internal departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure proper handling of complex claims. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve claims handling processes. Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients and promote brand loyalty. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, when handling claims. Mentor and train junior claims examiners to improve overall team performance. Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for complex claims inquiries from team members and other departments. Contribute to the development and implementation of new claims handling strategies and initiatives.
