Job Description The Assistant Chef is responsible for supporting culinary leadership in all aspects of cost optimization, inventory management, and food requisitions, while directing and developing kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of culinary excellence. This position ensures meticulous adherence to all government health regulations, industrial safety standards, corporate and departmental policies, and Culinary Bargaining Agreement, while elevating the guest experience through refined food quality and presentation. Job Responsibilities Culinary Excellence & Operational Refinement includes, but is not limited to, the following: Uphold and elevate Wynn's luxury culinary standards and refined aesthetic of Wynn's fine dining establishments Continuously monitor and enhance consistency of food quality, presentation, and plating to deliver an exceptional and memorable guest experience. Establish and maintain luxury premium standards and protocols that ensure both workplace safety and an environment of culinary excellence. Proactively identify, address, and report any actual or potential concerns to preserve the integrity of Wynn's operations and guest safety. Champion of best practices and establish benchmarks for exquisite quality, precision, and operational efficiency that reflect on Wynn's luxury positioning. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in suburb culinary techniques and excellence presentation standards. Leadership & Team Development includes, but is not limited to, the following Ensure all team members adhere to Wynn's distinguished policies and procedures while maintaining the highest level of Wynn's standards of professional integrity. Lead and inspire the culinary team by clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations aligned with Wynn's luxury brand values. Embody and reinforce Wynn's core values of excellence, sophistication, and guest-centric service in all business conduct. Mentor and develop staff through personalized coaching, constructive feedback, and positive reinforcement to cultivate culinary excellence. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of progressive culinary management experience in distinguished fine dining establishments or Michelin-recognized environments Current and valid Food Manager Certification and health credentials required; ability to maintain all necessary licensing and professional certifications Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications required (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Exceptional fluency in the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with sophistication and precision in a professional luxury setting. Multilingual capabilities are highly valued.
