About the position

As the Sr. Experience Designer of App at AEO Inc., you will design UX/UI experiences supporting the digital shopping initiatives within AEO’s portfolio. You have a strong user interface and interaction design aesthetic that ties brand expressions and systems thinking together with a mastery of human-centered UX design disciplines, with visual design being your strong suit. You’ll focus on optimizing and modernizing our core e-commerce experiences, with a particular emphasis and passion for iOS, Android apps, as well as the in-store technology innovation. Do you geek out on the nuances of app design and how they differ from the web? Love to trial new technology innovations in malls and retail environments? Obsess over clean UI? We hope so! Your work will enhance the customer’s journey to conversion through frictionless, on-brand, and visually engaging interfaces that align with AEO’s customer-first values and business objectives. In this role, you'll contribute to modernizing and maintaining our app technology, ensuring cohesive and responsive experiences across devices, platforms and in-store experiences. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to bring diverse visions to life, leveraging your expertise and obsession with UX/UI design. Data-driven insights and collaboration will inform your design work, with continuous testing and iteration to improve key metrics like conversion, engagement, and user satisfaction.

  • Employ a refined sense of visual and interaction design that seamlessly blends AE and Aerie’s unique brand identities and voices together within a design system, enabling you to work within and contribute to the evolution and scale of that system.
