<strong>Job#: 3036763<br><br></strong><strong>Job Description:<br><br></strong><strong>Location: </strong>Remote (Must be able to support any shift in a 24x7 environment)<br><br><strong>Description:<br><br></strong>We are seeking a hands-on Network Provisioning Engineer to support a network optimization and decommissioning program. This role requires a true in-network provisioner who actively logs into network equipment and performs real-time circuit implementation, grooming, and decommissioning.<br><br>This is not a design, planning, or research role. Candidates must have recent, hands-on experience provisioning circuits directly in live telecom network environments.<br><br><strong>Must Haves:<br><br></strong>8+ years of hands-on telecom network provisioning experience in live environments<br><br>Recent experience performing circuit provisioning (not historical or outdated experience)<br><br>Strong background in network turn-downs, traffic migration, grooming, activations, and maintenance execution.<br><br><strong>Demonstrated experience logging directly into network elements to:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Create and remove cross-connects</li><li>Implement and modify circuits</li><li>Perform testing and validation<br><br></li></ul><strong>Strong Layer 1/TDM expertise including:<br><br></strong><ul><li>SONET (OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192)</li><li>TDM Copper (DS0, DS1, DS3, STS1, voice trunks, PRI)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Hands-on experience with transport and switching equipment including:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ciena 6500 (strongly preferred)</li><li>Fujitsu / Flashwave SONET</li><li>Nortel MUX / Optera</li><li>DACS / DXCs (Tellabs Titan, Alcatel, etc.)<br><br></li></ul>Experience working in central office (CO) or transport network environments<br><br><strong>Better If:<br><br></strong>Prior experience in similar telecom environments<br><br>Familiarity with systems such as BGW, TCOMS, Maintenance Tracker<br><br>Experience supporting large-scale network optimization or decommissioning programs<br><br><strong>Pluses:<br><br></strong><strong>Additional Optical Or Transport Experience (DWDM, Ethernet Transport)<br><br></strong>Experience supporting high-capacity circuits (GigE, 10G, 100G, 400G)<br><br><strong>Day to Day:<br><br></strong>Responsible for provisioning, grooming, and decommissioning circuits in support of network optimization initiatives. This includes migrating traffic off legacy network elements, executing cross-connect changes, and performing circuit turn-ups and turn-downs within live network environments.<br><br>Work will focus heavily on Layer 1 technologies (TDM/SONET) and central office infrastructure.
