This role requires strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with students and staff. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. Specific work hours will be determined by the Building Principal based on the supervision needs of the school.Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in student supervision throughout the school day and after school hours.Assist in building relationships with students to create a positive school culture.Monitor students in the atrium area, cafeteria, and hallways throughout the school day.Monitor students specifically in the cafeteria or other spaces during lunch.Monitor students during whole school class changes.Escort specific students to needed areas such as office areas, guidance, and to class as needed.Routinely check student bathrooms throughout the day and check to make sure that exterior doors are locked and secured.Accompany student(s) anywhere within school buildings or school grounds.Closely supervise and monitor all students to/from all needed locations.Provide direction and physically keep up with student (s). Evacuate areas as instructed during emergencies identified by school admin.Ensure safe interaction among all students at all times.

Informs the Principal immediately in event of a breach of security procedures.Is alert at all times to the children and their needs.Follows all policies, rules and procedures established by the School District.Enforces school rules, policies, and guidelines. Informs the Principal of any serious infraction of the rules by students.May participate in orientation programs and other staff development opportunities in accordance with District guidelines and resources to enhance job-related skills and knowledge.Regular attendance and punctuality at the work place is required.Brings medical problems and injuries to the immediate attention of School Nurse,Principal or Designee.Other duties assigned by Administration
