We are a global team of over 400 developers, QA engineers, project managers, and UX/UI designers with offices in New York City and Vietnam.<br><br>This is a full-time contractor role based in Latin America.<br><br>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Senior QA Engineer</strong> to drive quality, automation, and performance initiatives across critical applications and delivery pipelines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust test automation frameworks, designing scalable performance testing strategies, and integrating quality practices directly into CI/CD workflows.<br><br><strong>What Success Looks Like in the First 30 Days</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">The ideal candidate will quickly assess the current automation and performance testing landscape and begin delivering measurable improvements. Within the first 15-30 days, you will be expected to:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Integrate K6 performance tests into existing CI/CD pipelines using Harness</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Establish repeatable and parameterized performance testing workflows</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve the stability, reliability, and maintainability of Playwright automation suites</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Deliver actionable performance reporting, metrics, and insights</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation strategies</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to the overall performance testing strategy and quality engineering roadmap</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Playwright for both UI and API testing</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Create, execute, and optimize performance, load, stress, and scalability tests using K6</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Integrate automated and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using Harness</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop repeatable, parameterized testing strategies that support continuous delivery</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform data validation and backend testing using SQL and database queries</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure quality and performance requirements are met</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Generate performance reports, metrics, and insights to support release readiness and continuous improvement</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive testing best practices, automation standards, and quality engineering initiatives across teams</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Mentor team members and contribute to the evolution of testing and performance engineering practices</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications & Experience:</strong></h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Performance Engineering, or related software engineering roles</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong expertise with Playwright, including framework design, test automation, and API testing</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience designing and executing performance testing solutions using K6</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience integrating automated and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Harness</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong SQL skills and experience performing data validation and backend testing</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance practices, and automation strategies</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience working within Agile development environments</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical
