This position will collaborate on design issues with a diverse group of product managers, designers, engineers, and infrastructure teams to build and deliver robust front and back end solutions that showcase the SHC's brand while providing a high-quality experience for users. This position should have a complete understand of web development.<br><br><b>Locations</b><br>Stanford Health Care<br><br><b>What you will do</b></p><ul><li>Provide strategic direction on mid to long term technology development inline with SHC's enterprise goals on Performance, Privacy, Security, Availability, Maintainability and User Experience</li><li>Collaborate with business partners, vendors and developers in defining strategic and tactical solutions;</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve IT service quality through automation and reduction of process defects;</li><li>Implement inhouse proof of concept, facilitate technical vendor evaluations and documentation;</li><li>Share knowledge with technical team and senior management of emerging technology and trends, their implications, challenges and opportunities.</li><li>Partner with MyHealth, SHC Mobile, UX Design and Internal Web teams;</li><li>Hands on technical role; contributes and helps set standards for all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, automation and QA</li><li>Develops functional prototypes from wireframes and mockups, and create proper documentation</li><li>Develops websites, performs unit testing, implementation, and production application support</li><li>Participates in troubleshooting problems related to user interaction, webpage performance & mobile web optimization</li><li>Collaborates with business, functional, technology system and operational owners engineers to refine and improve the user experience</li><li>Follows industry trends with regard to front-end technologies and techniques</li></ul><p><br><b>Education Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Design or a directly-related field from an accredited college or university<br>Master’s degree preferred</li></ul><p><br><b>Experience Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>10+ years of directly related experience.</li></ul><p><br><b>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Expert Knowledge in relevant technology stack</li><li>Knowledge of front end optimization and performance techniques</li><li>Knowledge and practiced application of industry best practices in rich web</li><li>Knowledge of user behavior and interaction design patterns</li><li>Knowledge of algorithms, data structure, web technologies, protocols, and cross-browser compatibility issues</li><li>Knowledge of architecting or building front end components and/or libraries</li><li>Ability to develop web sites for multiple contexts (mobile, tablet, desktop, etc.) and multiple locales</li><li>Ability to build and ship production-quality software to a large consumer audience, specifically user-centric design and development</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment</li><li>Ability to demonstrate strong programming knowledge</li><li>Ability to accurately communicate complex technical abstractions</li><li>Ability to influence peers and/or management and a champion of best practices that will encourage and drive adoption</li><li>Expert knowledge of front end browser technologies including HTML5, CSS3, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">JavaScript/ECMAScript</span></li><li>Knowledge of Semantic Markup, AJAX, JSON, and JS libraries (jQuery, YUI, etc)</li><li>Strong Experience with UI libraries and Front End tools (jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, LessCSS, SASS)</li><li>Advanced knowledge of HCI, usability, interaction design patterns</li><li>Proven ability to develop web sites for multiple target devices (mobile, tablet, desktop, etc.)</li><li>Proven ability to build and ship production-quality software to a large consumer audience</li></ul><p></p><p><br><b>These principles apply to ALL employees:</b><br><br><b>SHC Commitment to Providing an Exceptional Patient & Family Experience</b><br><br><br><i>Stanford Health Care sets a high standard for delivering value and an exceptional experience for our patients and families.
