The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS to support RTX's mission-critical systems and operations. This role requires expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code practices, and associated cloud-native technologies to support the mission-critical systems of RTX.What You Will Do:<ul><li>Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support business and engineering applications.</li><li>Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments.</li><li>Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and availability of cloud environments.</li><li>Ensure cloud environments meet RTX security and compliance standards.</li><li>Automate infrastructure and cluster provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance using tools such as Helm and Terraform.</li><li>Implement and manage Kubernetes networking, including ingress controllers, service meshes, and network policies.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess cloud requirements and provide solutions aligned with business objectives.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues while maintaining high reliability and uptime.</li><li>Stay current with cloud platform updates and best practices and provide recommendations for improvements.</li><li>Document processes, policies, and procedures for cloud operations.</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience</li><li>3+ years of experience in managing and administering Azure or AWS cloud environments with 1+ years of experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.</li><li>Proficiency with Azure or AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.</li><li>Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Helm and a strong understanding of networking principles and cloud security best practices.</li><li>Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices with Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>Qualifications We Prefer<ul><li>Azure or AWS certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert).</li><li>Experience working in both Azure and AWS environments managing multi-cloud-based applications.</li><li>Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)).</li><li>Experience working in an aerospace or defense environment is a plus.</li></ul>Learn More & Apply NowWork Location:RemoteAs part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.
