Job Description:

Assesses clinical workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows for new solutions or functionality. Collaborates with departments, hospital leadership, end users, vendors, and associates to ensure effective and efficient operational system functions and workflow. Provides education on new applications or functionality, including train-the-trainer, Service Line Expert, upgrade, and other training as necessary. Shares application tips with clinicians to improve workflow efficiency and guide best practices. Assists customers with customization of the application for unique department scenarios using application tools within the electronic health record foundation. Monitors and analyzes aggregated data to identify trends related to clinical processes and outcomes resulting from information technology tools. Identifies and coordinates the management of risk and quality assurance issues, escalating unresolved problems to appropriate decision-making bodies. Provides consultation in process redesign and evaluation of clinical software products, contributing to standards, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Provides 24/7 on-call support to operations, including off-duty shifts, evenings, nights, and weekends, to fully support operations during major installs. Executes change management strategies, including communication, buy-in, training, and technical support, to enable smooth implementation of new application changes and enhancements. Communicates technical and business concepts and ideas effectively using oral and written modalities, including changes made in the application to site contacts and team members.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Industry experience with electronic medical records [Required]
• Advanced clinical knowledge of current healthcare practice and clinical workflows with conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles [Required]
• Ability to map clinical processes, gather and analyze data, effectively present to clinical audiences [Required]
• Communication skills both written and oral, are professional and follow defined escalation process [Required]
• Expert conflict management skills [Required]
• Is accountable for realization of goals and defined metrics [Required]
• Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions [Required]

Education:
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
• Master's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• within 36 months of hire
• of science in nursing or informatics-related field

Work Experience:
• 5+ total between clinical and informatics experience [Required]
• Experience supporting applications used by clinicians [Preferred]
• Experience with Epic or other comparable electronic medical health records [Required]
• Professional organization membership related to job responsibilities [Preferred]
• Recent experience with health information technology [Required]
