The Community You Will Join
The Airbnb Communications team is responsible for telling the Airbnb story, delivering campaigns that keep Airbnb front of mind, helping to stimulate word-of-mouth and drive positive sentiment for the brand around the world. 

The Airbnb Celebrity & Entertainment team sits within Global Communications and leads all talent relations for the company.  The team builds programs that embed Airbnb into pop culture — through celebrity stays, consumer campaigns, TV and film integrations, and beyond. We're looking for a Lead to own and grow the international side of this work, bridging a passionate global team with on-the-ground experts across regional markets worldwide.

The Difference You Will Make

Airbnb is seeking a Global Celebrity and Entertainment Lead to own and grow the international side of the celebrity program. This role sits at the intersection of global strategy and regional execution, responsible for ensuring international teams are aligned with and empowered by the global celebrity plan, while maintaining the flexibility to operate independently within their markets. The ideal candidate is proactive, engaged, and solution-oriented — equally comfortable zooming out to see the bigger picture and diving into the details when required.

A Typical Day

  • Oversees the international celebrity division, working closely with DRIs across the US and Canada, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and China to ensure regional celebrity activity is globally aligned, locally relevant and connected to broader company priorities.
  • Bridges global and regional celebrity & entertainment teams by cascading priorities, surfacing opportunities, and removing blockers. 
  • Proactively identifies efficiencies, develops solutions, and improves processes across the international team as priorities and timelines evolve.
  • Serves as the global celebrity expert for regional teams, providing negotiation guidance, sharing best practices, and lending direct support to regional DRIs where needed.
  • Partners with global leads within the Celebrity & Entertainment team to implement and advocate for international priorities across all celebrity programs.
  • Brings regional opportunities to the Global Celebrity & Entertainment team for visibility and alignment, connecting the right global stakeholders based on the initiative.
  • Provides regular pipeline updates to the Head of Celebrity and Entertainment, ensuring visibility and alignment on international celebrity activity, budget, and metric tracking.
  • Collaborates with Channel Communications leads — including social, influencer, and creative — to ensure regional celebrity programs are integrated with global priorities and KPIs.

Your Expertise:

  • 10 - 12+ years of experience in Global or International Communications, Brand Marketing, or Brand Partnerships, with a focus on celebrity and entertainment
  • Deep knowledge of the celebrity and entertainment landscape, with hands-on experience managing celebrity partnerships, talent relationships, or high-touch talent programs
  • Extensive experience working with international teams based outside of North America
  • Proven experience working directly with talent, talent agencies, or celebrity partnerships at a brand, agency, or entertainment company
  • Empathetic team leader with experience managing direct reports and leading international teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with and managing multiple senior stakeholders on cross-functional projects
  • Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, Keynote, and Claude
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate key meetings across international time zones, with ability to travel to HQ
  • A passion for celebrity, pop culture, travel, and trends

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range

$160,000$200,000 USD
