CITY OF GROTON

POLICE DISPATCHER

$52,000.00 Yearly

 

The City of Groton is accepting applications for a F/T Police Dispatcher for the Police Department. Multiple shifts, weekends and holidays. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. with Communications experience is preferred as a dispatcher or telephone operator or an equivalent combination of education, employment and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities. Work experience in a public environment, customer service and the ability to speak and understand a second language is desirable.

The original application must be submitted to the Policeapp.com website. The City of Groton Police Department requires all applicants to take the CPCA Dispatcher Exam as part of the hiring process.  

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications must be submitted prior to Sunday, December 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. or until position is filled.

The City of Groton reserves the right to extend the closing date for the submission of applications without additional notice or to re-advertise for the position.
