Come and be one of them.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h1>About the role</h1><p style="min-height:1.5em">The Category Manager- Construction Services will play a lead role in Fluidstack's Data Center Design, Engineering and Construction (DEC) organization, focusing on contract management for construction, engineering, and professional services. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to maximize contract value, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, strategic problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to contract development and administration.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h1>Focus</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the overall design and construction contract management function, including development and implementation of contracts management tooling solutions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner with Contracts team leadership and other business leaders to navigate complex operations and spend initiatives.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Understand applicable deal-to-contract policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and control frameworks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proactively work with partners to deliver on budget planning and financial commitment monitoring.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build contract templates and clause libraries, and manage contract review processes and procedures.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure positive interactions regarding complex contracting issues.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Coordinate and drive resolution to key business issues with legal, risk management, corporate contracts, and leadership.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Serve as the point of contact for contract inquiries for functional programs.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Provide guidance and internal support for functional programs on best ways to structure deals.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ensure that signed contracts are complete and clearly communicated to all relevant parties.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Examine existing policies and procedures to optimize the end-to-end process from quote creation to signature completion.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Share best practices and provide training to enhance the quality and efficiency of contracting processes.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Act as a liaison between Project Controls, Construction Managers, and the general contractor to enforce contracts.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage and coordinate various projects and contracts management responsibilities.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h1>About You</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">5+ years of relevant work experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, and supply chain operations.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, Business Administration, English, Engineering, or Construction Administration.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in all Google applications (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Tasks) and Adobe Sign (or similar electronic signing tool).</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h1>Nice to haves</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with SAP, SRM, BW Reporting or equivalent.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstration of commitment to delivering quality, attention to detail, and financial acuity.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in construction and/or data center projects.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with GMP contract delivery methods.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to think outside the box in confronting new issues and pursuing novel approaches.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of high performance in complex multi-stakeholder projects.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with process development and continuous improvement in contracts playbooks and related procedures.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h1>Salary & Benefits</h1><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Health, dental, and vision insurance.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
